Let’s Hike DMV is teaming up with Prince George’s County Parks & Recreation for a special guided experience through Suitland Bog Park!

STEP 2 — COMPLETE & RETURN YOUR WAIVER
After completing your RSVP, you will receive instructions for completing and returning the required participant waiver.

Your Eventbrite RSVP reserves your spot, but you may not participate in the hike until your required signed waiver has been received.

Please complete and return your waiver as soon as possible after registering. We will maintain completed waivers with our event records.

🌱 ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

This is more than just a hike! We’ll explore one of the most unique natural areas inside the Beltway while learning about its trails, wildlife, plant life and the importance of protecting these spaces.

Suitland Bog is a rare wetland environment that’s home to unique Maryland plant and wildlife species—including carnivorous plants. 👀🌱

We’ll be joined by Sean Adkins, Trails Planner with M-NCPPC Department of Parks & Recreation, Prince George’s County, who will help guide us through the trail system and surrounding environment.

🥾 HIKE DETAILS

• Approximately 1.5–2 miles
• Approximately 75 minutes, including stops
• Easy / mostly flat
• Bog Thru Trail + scenic Bog Loop boardwalk
• Optional Pine Barren Loop depending on the group

🥾 Hiking shoes/boots with good tread
💧 Water
🦟 Bug spray
🧦 Tall socks recommended

🚗 Free monitored parking
🚻 Restrooms + water available at the community center
💰 No trail fee
