This time we’re taking on Annapolis Rock via Appalachian Trail — a moderately challenging hike through South Mountain State Park with an early climb, forested sections of the Appalachian Trail, and an incredible payoff at the Annapolis Rock overlook. 🌲🥾

🥾 Difficulty: Moderate
📏 Distance: 5.1 miles — Out & Back
⛰️ Elevation Gain: 791 ft
🌄 Highlight: Annapolis Rock Overlook + views of Greenbrier Lake & Black Rock Cliff
Expect an uphill start, forest trails, elevation changes, and rocky terrain. Bring proper hiking shoes, plenty of water, snacks, and come ready to move!

🅿️ PARKING:
Parking is available off Baltimore National Pike and can be limited. Please arrive early so you’re parked, checked in, and ready to hit the trail at 9:00 AM sharp.
🚗 PLEASE CONSIDER CARPOOLING IF ABLE TO! With limited parking available at the trailhead, carpooling will help us reduce the number of vehicles and make parking easier for everyone.
🐕 Dogs are welcome but must remain on leash.
We hike together, look out for one another, and make sure everyone makes it to the overlook AND back safely. 🌲
