DESCRIPTION:This time we’re taking on Annapolis Rock via Appalachian Trail — a moderately challenging hike through South Mountain State Park. \n\n🥾 LET’S HIKE DMV — AUGUST HIKE 🌲⛰️ \nWe’re back on the trail Sunday\, August 23rd! 🙌🏾 \nThis time we’re taking on Annapolis Rock via Appalachian Trail — a moderately challenging hike through South Mountain State Park with an early climb\, forested sections of the Appalachian Trail\, and an incredible payoff at the Annapolis Rock overlook. 🌲🥾 \n📍 Annapolis Rock via Appalachian Trail \n📅 Sunday\, August 23\, 2026 \n⏰ Meet Time: 9:00 AM SHARP \n🥾 Difficulty: Moderate \n📏 Distance: 5.1 miles — Out & Back \n⛰️ Elevation Gain: 791 ft \n🌄 Highlight: Annapolis Rock Overlook + views of Greenbrier Lake & Black Rock Cliff \nExpect an uphill start\, forest trails\, elevation changes\, and rocky terrain. Please arrive early so you’re parked\, checked in\, and ready to hit the trail at 9:00 AM sharp. \n🚗 PLEASE CONSIDER CARPOOLING IF ABLE TO!
